"I WAS IN YAYOI KUSAMA'S MIND"

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the Perez Museum in Miami, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. Kusama is a renowned contemporary artist known for her immersive and psychedelic works, and her installation "The Love Is Calling" left a lasting impression on me.

Upon entering the installation, I was struck by the infinity of black polka dots that filled the space. As I listened to Kusama's voice and explored the artwork, I felt as though I was allowed to enter her mind and creative process. The dots, to me, represented thoughts that appear and disappear in the darkness, much like how society can reject those who don't fit into conventional expectations and try to make them disappear under the black dot. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of accepting and embracing our differences in order to fully exist.

What I found particularly inspiring about the installation was its message of love as a cure for hate. Kusama's artwork reminded me that in a world full of division and conflict, it is essential that we come together with love and acceptance to create a more compassionate and equitable society.

The Kusama’s exhibition at the Perez Museum was a deeply moving and thought-provoking experience. "The Love Is Calling" left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to reflect on the importance of acceptance, love, and unity in our world. I highly recommend visiting this exhibition to anyone who has a passion for contemporary art and a desire to explore the complexities of the human experience. It is a testament to the power of contemporary art to challenge our perceptions and inspire us to see the world in a new light.
